This month marks a huge milestone for FOS.net
What started back in July 1995 as a small, scrappy operation in a hot, dusty room above a printing factory has become the South East’s leading Managed Service Provider , supporting small businesses with dependable IT expertise.
Looking back, it’s hard to believe how different the world was when we first got started. The internet was beginning to go mainstream , and 1995 saw the launch of Windows 95 , the rise of AOL and Prodigy , and the birth of names like Amazon, eBay, and Yahoo! . The digital revolution was in its infancy, and we were right there at the start.
Over the last three decades, we’ve evolved alongside technology, but our mission has stayed the same: to support small businesses with smart, reliable, and robust IT solutions.
One of our proudest achievements came in 2010 , when FOS.net became Microsoft’s first Gold Partner to be accredited specifically for Small and Medium Businesses . It was a huge milestone that recognised our deep commitment to the SMB community — and helped set us apart in a rapidly changing industry.
Today, we’re proud to work with a fantastic portfolio of long-standing clients , many of whom have been with us through multiple tech eras and transformations.
Beyond our work in IT, we’re equally proud of the impact we’ve made in our community .
In 2006 , our founders, Jason and Gail , created Wipe Away Those Tears , a charity that supports terminally ill children living in Essex . What makes the charity unique is that FOS.net covers all administrative costs , so every penny donated goes directly to families and children in need.
Thanks to the generosity of donors and supporters, the charity has now raised over £2 million and helped bring joy and relief to so many families during the most difficult times of their lives.
Earlier this year, Jason and Gail were both awarded MBEs in His Majesty The King’s 2025 New Year Honours , recognising their outstanding contribution to the community. We couldn’t be prouder.
As we step into a new financial year , the energy within FOS.net is stronger than ever. We’ve got exciting plans, a dedicated team, and a renewed sense of purpose. We believe this will be our best year yet , and we’re looking forward to sharing that success with all of you.
